Head of Business Development, RIA & IBD

About

Amy Kniseley serves as the Head of Business Development, RIA & IBD for Highland Capital Brokerage, driving Highland’s commitment to grow distribution in the registered space.  Kniseley’s primary responsibility is the procurement of relationships and a 360-degree onboarding process with one general theme in mind – creating an incredible advisory platform to help serve their customers at the highest level.

Kniseley prides herself on her transparent conversations to give customers all the information, so they can make the best decision for their highest good. She has a passion for independent distribution, and her experience provides a unique perspective in helping our distribution partners get the most from our partnership. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the NAILBA Charitable Foundation – her motto is, “The more I give, the better my life gets.”

Prior to Highland, Kniseley started in the captive world but quickly moved to a large carrier and spent more than eight years in various divisions, business lines, and strategic initiatives. She has spent more than 12 years in the distribution channel creating, building departments, processes, teams, spearheading initiatives, and sustainable business models. All of this to finetune her skills to help RIAs and IBDs navigate the world of insurance distribution.

A native of Wisconsin, Kniseley enjoys music, and sports – specifically watching the Green Bay Packers. Reading professionally and personally is also a loved hobby. She currently lives in Waterford, Va., with her husband and four children, Luke, Quinn, and twins Dominique and Angelique.
